AIESEC EMO Project, Winter Exchange - 2014 (AIESEC Experience)

HEY GUYS!

So I decided to write my volunteering experience with AIESEC in Poland back in 2014. On my first post I already talked about AIESEC, so yes, you can go check out my first post in this blog, and i already put links there that can take you to the AIESEC websites.

The first step to get in to this program is FIND AIESEC LOCAL COMMUNITY around you. yes you can check on the website in which continent AIESEC LC are available. and as long as i know, AIESEC got several programs, mine is Global Development Program, and it divided in to several terms, summer, fall, and winter. so dont worry, you got a LOT OF CHANCES here!!
after that, kalian harus nyari nyari program sendiri loh. bukan berarti kalian lolos seleksi di LC AIESEC setempat terus kalian jelas berangkat, NO. kalian harus masih struggle buat dapetin project, gak sedikit teman-teman aku gajadi berangkat, karena menyerah duluan.. hmm emang ini susah-susah gampang sih, kuncinya sih satu JANGAN PUTUS ASA

The second step is..... JUST ENJOY THE SHOW!! hehe iyaaa.. well, keliatan nya fun banget yaa gilaa exchange ke eropa. but the reality is not...... i felt that i was thrown in the middle of nowhere, somebody could just kidnap me (kebanyakan nonton film). soalnya, pengalaman exchange dengan AIESEC is unlikely with others. dulu aku juga pernah ke China waktu SMA. tapi enak banget. kita cuma tinggal duduk, ada guru yang ngembimbing, ada orang yang jemput ke airport, udah ada bis yang nunggu, kita udah tau tinggal dimana dll. tapi with AIESEC everything is DIFFERENT!! kenapa? Karena, based on my experience, there was nobody on the airport, i had to travelled from the airport to the city center all by myself, and for the record it was winter. di jogja paling dingin 20 derajat cuy, but it was minus 15 degress....... lucky me, there was an Egyptian yg ternyata exchange participant juga, yaudah deh aku sok kenal aja, waktu itu aku juga belom tau whether he is an EP or not.
waktu itu aku jetlag, kedinginan, dan ditambah ternyata the guy who supposed to pick me up was hangover.... so he could not make it to the airport at 6am in the morning. i was pissed, but i remember again why am i here. untuk dapat pengalaman baru jadi ya enjoy aja lah~ im gonna make new friendsss anyway

from left to right Levan from Georgia, Daryl from Malaysia (but he cannot speak bahasa), the guy on the back is our OC named Ludwik, Kasia , then the blonde one is Joanna, the last one is my favorite, Misia. harusnya ada 2 lagi namanya Dasia dari Rusia dan Anh dari Vietnam, but Anh was busy taking pictures at that time, and Dasia did not arrived yet.

Tau kan adaptasi? open minded? my paradigm is shifting since i joined AIESEC. paradigma soal semuanya. aku dulu nyebut diriku open minded lah, gampang beradaptasi lah tapi apa........ being the one and only indonesian and nobody can speaks bahasa at that time was difficult, i miss home..... on the first week udah mewek mewek pengen pulang aja, karena aku beneran dilepas waktu itu.

selfieeee, ini murid-murid aku aku tapi lupa sekolah mana karena banyak banget yang aku datengin and it has been 2 years ago.... so.......

one of my host family.. too bad i could not manage to take picture with all of my 5 new families :( hostfam aku yg sebelah kiri ku, dan yang kanan itu hostfam nya Daryl. yoi men ganteng abis bapaknya ._.
yang kiri ini rumah pertama ku begitu aku sampe Poland, aku disini cuma 3 hari terus pindah ke host family yang sesungguhnya haha. i was lived with unmarried couple which is biasa kalo disana, the guy is American and the girl is Polish. so multicultural, i like it lol.

and the best part of being abroad in europe isssssssss..... you can travel all around Europeans countries!! yeaaaaay

however, i only visited Germany at that time to visit my highschool friends Ajeng and Galih, and not forget to mention it, untuk cari akomodasi gratis wkwk, namanya juga student. abis dari Jerman aku ke Krakow, masih di Poland. but the place was so magical!! kaya di film disney princess cuyyyyyy

nah ini sama galih, kita lagi di Koln. waktu di jerman i travelled to Koln, Berlin ofc, and Dusseldorf.

when i was in Krakow, Old Town

mahal gak sih? abis berapa? believe it or not aku cuma spent less than 20 million rupiahs in 2 months. itu udah include semuanya, termasuk jalan kesana kesini, nyobain semua makanan disetiap district/kota/negara yang aku singgahin. ya itungannya murah, 20 juta itu udah merubah kepribadian aku yang manja, jadi open minded dan mandiri. yang lebih penting, meningkatkan rasa nasionalisme sih, soalnya setiap aku presentasi ya, aku makin jatu cinta sama Indonesia luv. makin bangga jugaaa hehe.

it is a life changing experience!! kalian harus coba, jangan pernah bilang being an exchange student is fun bla bla kalau belum pernah ikut aiesec lol. hahaha. mungkin ga cuma lewat AIESEC sih ya, cuma aku mampu afford nya ikut AIESEC, karena akomodasi nya free. thru ups and downs that ive experienced, still im so glad!!!

YOU SHOULD TRY IT!!
